The Monastery wins VPRO Joris Ivens Award 2006
The VPRO Joris Ivens Award 2006 for the best long documentary was presented last night to Pernille Rose Grønkjær for her documentary The Monastery - Mr. Vig & the Nun (Denmark, 2006).
Hall of Fame launched
IDFA 2006 was captured in a series of eight dramatised directors' portraits by photographer Corinne de Korver. The series marks the launch of a hall of fame of well-known documentary directors, starting from the idea that they all feel at home in Amsterdam, as if they have lived there for years. The series will be continued next year. From Today, the first eight portraits are in the Daily Online.
